Freedom Makeup London **Full Face First Impressions + Tutorial **

If you follow me on Instagram/Facebook, you will know that I place my first ever order with Freedom Makeup London.

Freedom Makeup are a new brand created by the wonderful guys at Makeup Revolution (one of my favourite brands.)
The quality and cost of MUR products are second to none, so I HAD to get my hands on some on the Freedom stuff, and with an EPIC promotion on, with 20% discount on top for my first order, this was an opportunity too good to pass up.

So in this post, I'm going to give you my first impressions of some of the products as well as a tutorial. Please note that this is mainly a one brand tutorial :-)

If you plan on sticking around to read, I suggest you grab yourself a cuppa cos this is going to be a LONG one!

My First Freedom Makeup Haul! <3

To start, I used the Pro Mattify primer.buy here  This primer is clear with a silky texture. It glides over the skin, and a little bit goes a long way. I'm very skeptical over anything 'Mattifying' as I have a very oily t-zone, and am yet to find a primer that helps with this. I wore this all day, and am pleased to say, I only had to blot once, and that was toward the end of the day.
I hope this one withstands the test of time. :-)

Next is the Pro Matte foundation in shade 02.buy here Unfortunately, this foundation didn't apply too great with a brush, which is what I normally use. I managed it in the end, but it was not an easy task. However, the colour was actually great! It was perfectly neutral, which is exactly what I need on my pale skin. Perhaps this would be better applied with a beauty blender for a great finish.

An oldie, but a goodie, the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. This is just about one of the only concealers I use. The coverage is amazing. Definitely one of my Holy Grail products.
I added this to the under eyes, centre of the nose, centre of the forehead, chin and any other blemishes that need covering.

To set, I used the Bare Minerals BareSkin setting power in Light to Medium. I'm such a fan of Bare Minerals, so I was really excited to try this. This has a beautiful, soft texture, but I found that my make up creased under my eyes after a while, and the colour was too dark for my super pale skin tone. Unfortunately, this is a miss for me :-(

Next, Bronzer in 110 Matte.buy here I was soooo worried about this shade, I thought it was going to be very orange as most bronzers are on me. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I did only use a very light application, but this was enough to add a bit of colour to my ghost white complexion. I added this to my forehead, temples, sides of my nose and jawline.
A nice little surprise to add to my collection.

To contour, I used the Pro Blush and Highlight palette in Peach Spice.buy here I was actually very pleasantly surprised with this palette. There is a good range of colours for most skin tones. I used the dark brown shade to contour (I haven't blended my contour in this picture) It looks a little orange, but when blended, everything looks perfectly defined. The colours are so pigmented, and glide over the skin easily. Thy blend out really well giving a perfect finish. I am yet to use the other colours, but definitely intend to, especially the peach and pink colours for blush.

For blush, I used this peachey shade called Angelic. buy hereI'm not into to peachey shades, I tend touse pinks a lot more but really want to give this a try as it's very light. I literally dabbed my blush brush in, and found that this was too much product. The pigmentation is INSANE! You need the tiniest amount to get perfectly flushed finish. The colour is simply gorgeous as well, it's definitely turning me into a peach convert!

Next, is the Pro Highlight in Glow.buy here When I bought this, I didn't expect it to be this gold. Its a beautiful shade, but I cannot use a lot of it, it just doesn't work on my skintone. However, the quality is fantastic, and again, the pigmentation is amazing. I can use a tiny amount for a subtle glow, but the full-on WOW factor is out of the question with this one. this would be more suited to someone with an olive skin tone in my opinion.

Onto brows...Using the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown.  I have had this tiny pot for over a year now and have still not hit the bottom. It is the only brow product I use (sometimes I switch to the BrowWiz, but always come back to this!) I honestly can't see myself using anything else ever again!

To tidy up the brows, I'm using the Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer. The name says it all, this is truly one of my favourite concealers in the world, EVER. The coverage is amazing. It's so good, I have a whole blog post dedicated to it... (here). I use completely underneath the brow and just above the tail to highlight.

Another oldie...To keep the brows in place, I used the Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Brown.

Next, I added Mono Eyeshadow in Base 205. buy here This is a lovely creamy eyeshadow that glides on effortlessly and blends so easily.
I used this shade make it easier to blend out a smokey eye. I always find it better to start with your lightest colour first and work downwards, as sometimes its too easy to get carried away with the dark colours when you apply them first and go overboard. I added this to the crease of the eye and blended it upwards.

After that, I added Mono Eyeshadow in Base 203.buy here This is a very slightly shimmery pink colour, I added this to the crease in wiper motions so as to not take the shimmer above the brow bone.

This is the Decadence Palette in Today's Tonight. buy here I LOVE this palette. I would use every single colour in here. It ranges from mattes to shimmers. Its a truly gorgeous palette that I can see myself using very often!
The only down side is that none of these shades have names so I can't tell you with ease which I used.
I used the dark brown shade that is on the top row (in this picture) and fourth from right. I am holding the palette upside down so it would be bottom row, fourth from left(to confuse matters!!)
I blended this shade in the outer corners, up to the crease and on the inner corner and under the eye.

Next is Mono Eyeshadow in Gilded 217. buy here This is a gorgeous coppery gold colour. I all honesty, I wasn't expecting much of this as a lot of the cheaper, shimmery eyeshadows I have purchased the past have had been difficult to get onto any applicator, and you have to use so much product to get a little colour, it's often not worth the effort.
But this Eyeshadow is something else completely. I mean, can you believe this is went on dry? The colour payoff is incredible! This eyeshadow is just as creamy and gorgeous as the rest!
I added this colour over the centre of the lid.

This is Mono Eyeshadow in Smoulder 214. buy here Just like the Gilded eyeshadow, this is so easy to apply with no fallout. I'm so impressed with this.
I added this to the outer corners for a more smokey effect.

I felt that the crease needed more depth, so I added the Makeup Revolution mono eyeshadow in Mocha Love. I often use this as my contour shade as well as it is the perfect grey toned brown.

For eyeliner, I used the Pro Line in Waterproof Blackbuy here. This was really easy to apply and is really opaque. The only thing I didn't like was that I found the applicator very scratchy and became wary of it on my lids. I do like this liner though, so may apply with a brush in future.

Then I added mascara and false lashes. I believe these are Revlon lashes but I cannot remember which they are.I used the Duo waterproof lash glue in Dark to apply these.

Eyes are done!!

I lined my lips with the Makeup Revolution lipliner in Rebel. I filled the entire of my lips in, in order to hold the colour all day.

This colour is simply stunning. This is Adorn. buy here It is a gorgeous purple berry colour, with a slight hint of a shimmer. It is definitely a favourite of mine now! I have the Rebel lipstick from Makeup Revolution, and this is nearly the same colour but with a shimmer in it. So stunning! The lipstick itself is so creamy and glides on like a dream.
I added this right over the top of the liner for a full coverage colour.

Ta Dah!!

I'm so happy with this make up look!

And there you have it. A *nearly* full face of first impressions.
Freedom Makeup is definitely one of my new favourite brands. The quality of their makeup is amazing and they are soooo affordable. Guys, you need to try some of this stuff if you haven't already.
You will not regret it!!
